For Jemima Hargreaves, founder of Hargreaves Stockholm, storytelling has always been a way of life.

Having led a nomadic childhood, constantly moving from one town to another, Jemima found solace in her imagination. A little girl with glitter and silver Moon Boots, she carried the magic of stories like The Hobbit and the enchanting illustrations of John Bauer and Brian Froud wherever she went. Days were spent searching for fairies under hedgerows and for magical creatures in rock pools.  It’s no wonder she now crafts jewellery infused with the myths and legends that shaped her early years.

Jemima’s journey began with a love for creating miniature worlds. She would borrow her father’s tools to make tiny furniture for her toys, weaving her own stories and crafting magical realms. This early passion for creating and storytelling naturally evolved into her unique jewellery designs—pieces that feel like they hold entire worlds within them.

Always in search of home—whether in the windswept English moorlands or the deep Swedish forests—Jemima’s work is driven by a longing for connection and belonging. Her jewellery is more than adornment; it's a bridge to something deeper, something personal. Jewellery has adorned humanity for millennia, serving as both decoration and talisman. It sits against our skin, becoming a part of us—something we touch in moments of nervousness, something that grounds us. Each piece is thoughtfully designed, with every element carefully considered. From enchanting hand engravings hidden for the wearer’s eyes alone, to the smooth, reassuring feel of a vessel meant to hold precious memories close, every detail tells a story. Many of her creations feature antique diamonds, with old mine cuts and antique rose cuts being particular favourites—a nod to Jemima’s traditional background, where she learned from master goldsmiths decades ago.
