ECLIPSE-SEPTEMBER-2019

Learn more about the new collection:

On a freezing winter’s day on the rocky edge of the Baltic, the pearlescent moon slowly and softly edged ever closer to concealing the sun. As the veiling took place, the faintest sparkle of wind-blown snow danced with the freezing mist in the magical light, conjuring the image of glittering diamonds. Eclipse, the new collection from ethical jewellery brand, Hargreaves Stockholm, takes the incomparable glow of this otherworldly phenomenon and shares it, with you.

Perfectly domed discs of solid 18ct gold are polished to the highest shine before being scattered with ethically sourced stones, transporting you to the subtly glistening air highlighted by the crescent of the low Nordic sun. Reminiscent of lightly falling snow, twinkling constellations or the ever-changing colours you see in the sky as the sun sets and the moon finds her place, this collection will take on a new meaning in each-and-every setting.

A capsule collection of three distinct pieces available in yellow, red and white gold, Eclipse is perfect to take you from shopping in the city to dinner with friends. The oh-so-stylish Gold and Diamond Pave Disc Ring (€3,625) is the signet we all need. Worn delicately on the little finger or bold and proud in all three finishes banded across the hand, this piece will catch the eye and steal the heart.

Pair with the delicate Disc Drop Pendant (€2,275) suspended on a luxurious 18ct chain that allows for maximum movement.

Finally, the Disc Drop Earrings (€3,750) are elegantly placed to catch the light and dazzle whoever sees them.

Quote

To me, there is something so pure, so serene about the light just as the sun rises, or as it gently sets. But, being able to sit with my family and friends to watch the most recent eclipse, was so beautifully overwhelming - the colours, the glow, the light – I knew I had to capture it. The new collection is not only the physical representation of the way the earth shimmered during the eclipse, it is also a reminder of the way it felt to watch the celestial goddess that is the moon, in all her glory.
— Jemima Hargreaves

The new collection is lovingly created in recycled gold, but Fairmined and Fairtrade gold are available on request. Hargreaves Stockholm continues to use only ethically sourced gemstones from conflict-free zones, or lab-grown where desired. Diamonds are set to offer the ethereal moonlit glow, but gemstones as varied and rich as a rainbow are available to create your personal piece. Whether it be your birthstone, your favourite colour or just something you take a fancy to, Hargreaves Stockholm is here to create your little piece of the universe.

Just one thing; you had better act fast, this collection is sure to eclipse all others…

EDITORS NOTES

Hargreaves Stockholm

Launched at Stockholm Fashion Week in 2017, Hargreaves Stockholm has quickly become known as a fine jewellery brand with ethics and quality at its heart. Their designs combine clean Scandinavian lines, the smooth weight and feel of solid precious metals and Jemima Hargreaves’ now signature scatter of responsibly sourced diamonds and coloured stones. The feeling of holding something that could be made of magic or even a piece of the stars themselves in your own hand is like nothing else. That connection is created with absolute passion and skill wrought in responsibly sourced 18ct gold and beautifully set with carefully selected diamonds and gemstones in Stockholm, Sweden.

Jemima Hargreaves has been a magpie since birth and still is now, perhaps even more so, loving anything that glitters and sparkles; her favourite and the inspiration for many of the pieces she creates, are the small glass topped boxes of diamonds and stones she has collected over the last 20 years of her career as a Master Goldsmith. Impressive enough on their own, when mixed together the stones sparkle in the Nordic sunlight with their deep and varied rainbow tones, sparking memories of the Swedish coast and forests that Jemima now calls home.
